Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register or fill out a membership form to join this group?
Nope, just show up! We are happy to have any and all mamas join us as often as you can. Feel free to invite your neighbors and friends, too. They'll thank you.
Is it all really free?
Yes! It really is all free. Thanks to Encores Consignment sale, our yearly fundraiser, we are able to provide food, drinks, speakers, crafts, demonstrations and more, all completely free to our moms. If you would like to get involved with Encores, please visit our site to volunteer or consign.
It's my first time and I don't know anyone.
That's ok. No need to be nervous. Each and every month, there are several new moms, so you aren't alone. We have a friendly greeter who will make you a name tag, show you around, and introduce you to some other moms. Feel free to email us to make some connections beforehand, or visit our Facebook page to check things out.
Do you have childcare?
We no longer provide childcare. Our meetings have been moved to the evenings, and this allows kids some time at home with dads, grandmas, aunts, and babysitters. We ask that you bring babes in arms only.
Where are you located?
We meet at Clearnote Church, which is located at 2401 S. Endwright Rd., Bloomington, IN 47403. Click here to see a map.
What happens in the summer?
Every summer, we have a more casual schedule, with fun playgroups at different parks around town, several mom's nights out at various restaurants, a morning at the Splash Pad, and a family night to close out the summer. If you work throughout the year, or can't attend regular meetings because of school schedules, summer is a great time to jump in and have some fun.
How does the swap table work?
You are in for a treat. Everyone loves the swap table! Here's the deal: each meeting, we set up tables for you to fill up with random items from your house; think pantry items you never got around to using, clothes that are too big/too small, toys that are driving you crazy, anything from that closet you just cleaned out, and so on. Each week, people bring all kinds of treasures they no longer need, and you get to take them home. Whether or not you brought anything to contribute, you are welcome to take home whatever you like. At the end of each meeting, we bag it all up and take it to Goodwill. Did you hear that? We take it to Goodwill for you. Now you understand why the swap table is a hit. Happy swapping!
I still have a question. Who should I ask?
No problem! We would be happy to answer any questions you have. Just drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
